El Cabildo de La Palma impulsa PRODAE La Palma 2025 para emprendedores.
The main objective is to provide specialized services to entrepreneurs regarding the existing aids and subsidies for starting a business
The Employment Service of the Cabildo de La Palma, led by Fernando González, launches the Promoting Development and Economic Activity Project, PRODAE La Palma 2025, with the aim of strengthening comprehensive and specialized services for entrepreneurs. The project is co-financed by the Canarian Employment Service.
Fernando González emphasizes that «this type of project allows us to provide personalized service to individuals who wish to start a business on the island of La Palma, as well as to disseminate all the subsidy lines and resources available to promote entrepreneurship.»
The project’s goal is to generate business activity for socio-economic development and wealth creation in the region of La Palma, and to enhance the role of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma as a driving force for job creation and support for the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises from the perspective that their existence promotes a more stable long-term business fabric, greater diversification of activities, and, above all, sustained economic growth that benefits the island.
For the project’s development, which will run until the end of the year, technical staff has been hired to provide advisory services to entrepreneurs seeking information on subsidies from the Cabildo de La Palma and the Canarian Employment Service to start a business.
Additionally, they will carry out various activities to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship, such as talks, participation in events, fairs, etc. They will also provide advice on developing a business viability plan, idea development, choosing a legal form, and disseminating information of interest to entrepreneurs, etc.
Among the actions to be implemented is the promotion of social economy. To achieve this, the service will offer information and training on the advantages and disadvantages of different modalities and provide guidance to entrepreneurs who want to choose one of the social economy modalities. They will also offer advice on existing subsidies for social economy enterprises.
Furthermore, the aim is to keep advisory services in the islands informed about the different subsidy lines currently available from the Cabildo de La Palma, for starting a business and promoting job creation, as well as for making investments by companies, supporting the recovery of businesses of self-employed individuals and companies affected by the volcanic eruption.
One of the planned actions is to conduct a diagnosis to provide information on new opportunities and resources available for starting a business in La Palma, especially through social economy.
Individuals interested in starting a business can request an appointment and contact the PRODAE team through the Employment Service of the Cabildo de La Palma.
