Adlib Ibiza e Isla Bonita Moda refuerzan su unión en la moda de autor y artesanía de Ibiza y La Palma.
The collaboration between both fashion labels focuses on fashion in the islands and their creators.
Nine designers from the Isla Bonita Moda label will showcase at Futur Adlib on June 6. These designers include Diazar Atelier, BAN, Lepa Punca, Shamelu, Mararte, Sara Luis Joyas, Rayco Plata, Julia Brito, and Waleska Morin.
Following the historic partnership between Isla Bonita Moda and Futur Adlib in 2024, the institutional program supporting design and author fashion in La Palma returns to the Ibiza runway this year with a curated selection of proposals that highlight island creativity and its connection to craftsmanship.
Under a collaborative and multidisciplinary vision, nine creatives from the Isla Bonita Moda program – Diazar Atelier, BAN, Lepa Punca, Shamelu, Sara Luis Joyas, Rayco Plata, Julia Brito, Waleska Morin, and Mararte – will present their collections at FUTUR ADLIB 2025 this Friday, June 6, at the church patio of Sant Miquel de Balansat, transcending runways to become a meeting space between territories, sensitivities, and fashion perspectives.
The fashion labels Adlib Ibiza, promoted by the Consell Insular d’Eivissa, and Isla Bonita Moda, promoted by the Department of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo Insular de la Palma, continue their collaboration to promote the talent and fashion creators of the islands.
María Fajarnés, executive councilor of the Department of Economic Promotion, Municipal Cooperation, and Human Resources, states that "Adlib Ibiza and Isla Bonita Moda share the concern to give designers from the islands the recognition they deserve, based on tradition and craftsmanship, overcoming the challenges of island life, and with the belief that talent transcends maritime boundaries." Fajarnés adds, "This exchange is inspiring and represents a unique experience for the talent from both islands."
In the words of Miriam Perestelo, councilor of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo de La Palma and CEO of Sodepal, "FUTUR ADLIB is an excellent opportunity to showcase the work of our designers in a top-level professional environment. The Ibiza market is a reference in creativity, fashion, and tourism, and being part of this platform helps consolidate the Isla Bonita Moda brand as a mark of identity, quality, and international projection. We sincerely thank the invitation and the organizing team for their continued support of Palma’s talent and providing a relevant platform for their exposure in such a strategic market."
This partnership highlights two island locations in the national fashion scene that are committed to the fashion sector and reviving traditional crafts.
DIAZAR ATELIER: SIWA SWIMWEAR COLLECTION. An oasis turned design.
The collaboration between Diazar Atelier, the artisanal leather goods of BAN, and the jewelry by Lepa Punca results in the evocative SIWA SWIMWEAR COLLECTION. Inspired by the Siwa oasis, the collection immerses in a sensory experience to translate nature, serenity, and the strength of the desert into textile, leather, and jewelry. Sand tones, geometric motifs, and hand embroidery compose an aesthetic narrative that celebrates design as a sensitive language, fashion as a channel of cultural transmission, and craftsmanship as a way to connect with the territory and its rhythms.
SHAMELU: SIJAK, a fresh start.
Designer Shamelu presents SIJAK: BEGINNING, a swimwear collection that represents a new chapter in her creative universe. Inspired by traditional Asian fashion and reinterpreted with contemporary codes, the collection blends geometric and organic forms in a visual language that conveys intentional chaos and fluidity. The return of the brand’s print, the artisanal jewelry by Mararte, and the footwear by Ban complete a proposal that celebrates the duality between past and present.
RAYCO PLATA + JULIA BRITO: L’Estasi, sculpture turned body.
Designer Rayco Plata, in collaboration with Julia Brito, presents L’Estasi, a capsule collection inspired by the Italian Renaissance. Ethereal forms, fabrics that evoke movement, and the angelic sensuality of classical sculpture are translated into pieces that gracefully envelop the body, highlighting the natural beauty of gesture and anatomy. A work that combines art, history, and design with profound sensitivity.
SARA LUIS JOYAS: BOMBYX MORI, the art of the invisible.
With the BOMBYX MORI collection, Sara Luis Joyas pays tribute to the Spinners of El Paso and the silent work of the silkworm. Inspired by metamorphosis and the fragility that transforms into legacy, each piece captures a moment frozen in time. This collection is not worn; it is honored: representing the power of the essential, the invisible memory, and technique elevated to art.
WALESKA MORIN: a symphony of color and form inspired by Ensor.
Waleska Morin delves into deep and artistic inspiration, where the color palette of painter James Ensor envelops a collection rich in visual symbolism. Asymmetrical garments, cut-out designs, and floral explosions in all forms turn this proposal into a vibrant portrait of the artist’s universe and his best-known work. Inspired by ballet art and period musicals, the designs celebrate movement, color, and expressiveness. Roses, yellows, whites, and other warm tones dance in the sun like a melody that transcends time.
About Adlib Ibiza
Since 1971, the island of Ibiza has been the inspiration for a unique fashion concept based on respect for the environment and the slow fashion philosophy.
