A 30-year-old man was seriously injured on Saturday after being attacked with a knife near a gas station, at the roundabout leading to the port in Costa Calma, in the municipality of Pájara (Fuerteventura), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred around 8:54 p.m. when the 1-1-2 operational center received an alert reporting that a person needed assistance after being the victim of the attack, prompting Cecoes to immediately activate the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area.
Sources from the Civil Guard, who conducted the necessary proceedings last night, informed Europa Press that the attack was motivated by an attempted robbery.
Upon arrival, medical staff from the Canarian Emergency Service assessed and assisted the victim, who initially presented a serious chest wound. After stabilizing him, he required transportation in a medicalized ambulance from SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
