El Cabildo de La Palma adelanta plazo de solicitud de becas para estudios
Study grants aim to help families cover educational expenses, especially for university students and those pursuing vocational training outside the island.
The Cabildo de La Palma has opened the application period for grants aimed at students studying at universities, art schools, and vocational training programs, both on and off the island. This year, the call also includes students from the UNED, those studying remotely at public universities, and Nursing degree students studying in La Palma.
Cabildo President Sergio Rodríguez highlights that around 290 grants were awarded in the last call to help cover training-related costs, especially for students located outside the island.
Students enrolled in Higher Vocational Training Programs in La Palma who are beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ Program are also eligible for these grants.
Education Councillor Pablo Díaz emphasizes the importance of students interested in applying for the grant submitting complete and correct documentation. This will help expedite the process and speed up the resolution of applications. This year, the call has been brought forward to March, allowing for the disbursement of grants earlier than in previous years.
Those interested in applying for the grant have until April 22, 2025, to submit their applications. Applications can be made in person or electronically. Detailed information, including the guidelines and application forms, can be found on the Cabildo de La Palma’s electronic headquarters:
