El Cabildo abre plazo para uso de instalaciones deportivas 2025-2026
Requests can be made from April 28 to May 12
The Fuerteventura Cabildo, through the Department of Sports led by Luis González, will open the period for requesting reservations for sports facility use on Monday, April 28, for the 2025-2026 season.
Requests can be submitted until May 12 (inclusive) for spaces such as the Insular Sports Center ‘Francisco Melián,’ Insular Sports Center ‘Cabildo de Fuerteventura,’ Insular Nautical Center, Motocross Circuit ‘Isla de Fuerteventura,’ and the Sports Management Offices of the Department of Sports.
The Sports Councilor, Luis González, states, «The aim is to regulate the conditions for reserving and using available spaces, thus promoting sports practice.» The island’s representative further explains, «We continue to collaborate with municipalities through the execution and tendering of various projects.»
The request for reserving spaces for sports use will be formalized through an application that can be submitted electronically, along with the required documentation, on the Insular Cabildo’s Electronic Headquarters, or in other forms provided by law.
The following deadlines must be taken into account in this call:
-Request period, from April 28 to May 12, 2025 (both inclusive).
-Validity periods for using these facilities, by facility:
-Insular Sports Center ‘Francisco Melián’: from August 11, 2025, to June 21, 2026.
-Insular Sports Center ‘Cabildo de Fuerteventura’: from August 11, 2025, to June 28, 2026.
-Insular Nautical Center: from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.
-Motocross Circuit ‘Isla de Fuerteventura’: from August 11, 2025, to June 21, 2026.
-Department of Sports (Sports Management Offices): from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
On May 16, provisional usage calendars will be published. Subsequently, from May 17 to June 2, both inclusive, a correction period will be open; the definitive calendar will be released on June 20, and from June 21 to July 4, both inclusive, will be the period for objections.
Due to timely and necessary inter-administrative cooperation, this call may be resolved in coordination with the Sports Department of the Puerto del Rosario City Council to properly rationalize sports facility requests in the municipal location of these facilities.
