A 9-year-old child was moderately injured on Sunday after a collision between the skateboard he was riding and a car on Batayola Street in the municipality of Candelaria, as reported by the Coordination Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred at around 3:48 p.m., when the 1-1-2 emergency center received a call reporting the accident and the need for assistance for the skateboard rider. Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to respond to the situation.
Upon arrival, the medical staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service assessed and assisted the injured child, who had moderate multiple contusions at the time of initial care. The child was transported to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria.
Subsequently, the Local Police regulated traffic and carried out the corresponding report.
