Canarias con intervalos nubosos y lluvias débiles

In the rest of the country, instability will continue with heavy rains in the northeastern peninsula, Galician Atlantic coast, and the Balearic Islands.

This Monday, the Canary Islands will have generally cloudy intervals, with cloudy skies in the northern mountains of the islands, not ruling out the presence of occasional weak precipitation, especially in the southern interior of Tenerife and Gran Canaria in the afternoon, according to the forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the probability of weak and occasional rain is also not ruled out, although it will be low this time.

Temperatures will remain mostly unchanged. Thermometers will range from 23 degrees maximum in Gran Canaria to 11 degrees minimum in El Hierro. Meanwhile, moderate north winds will blow.

IN THE REST OF SPAIN

In parallel, Aemet forecasts that instability will persist in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands this Monday due to precipitation that could be locally heavy on the Atlantic coast of Galicia, the Balearic Islands, and the northeastern peninsula, where strong wind gusts from storms are not ruled out.

More specifically, locally heavy precipitation with occasional storms is expected on the Galician coast, which will gradually spread to the rest of the Atlantic coast weakly or moderately.

In the Mediterranean region, thunderstorms are likely, more intense and accompanied by very strong gusts in the northeastern quadrant of the peninsula, while locally heavy thunderstorms are likely to continue in the Balearic Islands.

It will be in the second half of the day when the precipitation intensifies and spreads to the rest of the territory; on one hand, in the form of showers affecting wide areas of the eastern third and mountainous areas of the center, and on the other hand, due to the arrival of a cold front from the northwest that will extend the rainfall to most of the northwestern half of the peninsula.

Snowfall is likely in northern mountains above 1,800-2,000 meters, descending to 1,200-1,600 meters in the northwest. In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals with weak precipitation are expected in the northern mountainous areas, occasionally extending to the rest of the islands.

As for maximum temperatures, they will increase in the Cantabrian region and southeastern areas, with decreases in the northeastern peninsula and the Atlantic coast, locally significant in regions of the northwestern interior.

Minimum temperatures will generally decrease, more noticeably in the western peninsula. There will be few temperature changes in the Canary Islands, and weak frost is expected in the Pyrenees.

Winds will blow from light to moderate, from the south in the Balearic Islands and from the west in the Peninsula. Western winds with strong intervals and likely very strong gusts are expected in the Strait, Alboran, and in the second half on the coasts of Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea. In the Canary Islands, moderate north winds are forecasted.
