El Consejo Insular de Aguas destina 600.000 euros para obras hidráulicas en La Palma

The Insular Water Council of La Palma allocates a sum of 600,000 euros to cover construction and improvement projects of hydraulic works, through private initiatives for this year 2025. The Governing Board of this body, dependent on the Cabildo de La Palma, has approved the guidelines that will govern this year’s call.
«These infrastructures will have a significant and positive impact on water management, which represents a significant relief after the challenging periods experienced in recent times due to the scarcity of this resource,» details the Water Councilor of the Cabildo de La Palma, Juan Ramón Felipe.
The actions that involve expenses of private initiatives in the repair or construction of reservoirs and tanks are the focus of this aid. Additionally, activities in watercourses, wells, and wastewater treatment are among the initiatives to be carried out.
Likewise, in this call, the use of measuring equipment, water control in transport conduits, conveyance and storage, including pumping, can also be covered.
