El Cabildo de La Palma fortalece la atención social con el sistema GUIAS del IAS de Gran Canaria
The incorporation of this software will allow for complete control over the management of socio-sanitary services.
The Cabildo de La Palma formalizes a collaboration agreement with the Social and Socio-Healthcare Institute (IAS) of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, through which it is granted free use of the GUIAS software, an advanced computer tool designed for the comprehensive management of socio-sanitary services.
The signing of the agreement, signed between the presidents of both institutions, Sergio Rodríguez Fernández, for La Palma, and Isabel Mena Alonso, for the IAS, will allow the Cabildo de La Palma to incorporate this digital platform into its operations.
The Minister of Social Action, Ángeles Fernández, values this transfer as «a great opportunity to advance in the modernization and efficiency of our system of care for the elderly, dependent, and disabled. GUIAS offers us a consolidated solution, developed with the experience of the IAS, which we can adapt to the specific needs of La Palma.»
Fernández also highlights the collaborative nature of the transfer and adds that «this agreement is a clear example of how cooperation between Cabildos can translate into a direct benefit for the citizens. By sharing tools and knowledge, we multiply our response capacity without increasing public expenditure.»
The GUIAS software, internally developed by the IAS, is a modular web-based application that allows for complete control over the management of socio-sanitary services. Among its main functions are user and center management, stay control, waiting lists, billing, custom reports, and guardianship monitoring.
The agreement also includes initial training by the IAS for the technical and administrative staff of the Cabildo de La Palma, as well as support in the implementation and adaptation phases of the software.
