The initiative of the Cabildo and the public company Sodepal proposes a series of activities aimed at girls, boys, and adolescents with the aim of providing them with tools to face the challenges of the present and the future with confidence, well-being, and commitment to their environment.
The Cabildo de La Palma and the public company Sodepal organize the Renace La Palma project, an initiative that seeks to promote entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to the community progress of the Island. All this through a series of activities aimed at girls, boys, and adolescents with the aim of providing them with tools to face the challenges of the present and the future with confidence, well-being, and commitment to their environment.
The Minister of Education, Pablo Díaz Cobiella, emphasizes the Corporation’s commitment to stimulating among the younger population this interest in developing their own projects, something that will be carried out through the completion of courses and workshops related to artificial intelligence; local entrepreneurship; social awareness and sustainability; technological innovation, and addressing the adaptation of traditional trades in the digital age.
This action will begin with more than 500 students from the western region of the Island, with the intention of expanding to the entire Island in the future. It will be taught by a multidisciplinary team from the educational and social area composed of a psychologist, pedagogue, social worker, teacher, and project coordinator.
“It is important that we are able to reach the youngest population of the Island, which is our future, to give them the opportunity to approach the continuous advancements that are taking place today and to acquire basic knowledge about them so that they can identify the opportunities that this offers them for the future,” explains Díaz Cobiella.
The project, which is developed with the support of Your Team S.L., will be launched in various educational centers on the Island where workshops and activities will be carried out to enhance entrepreneurial spirit among students, with a special emphasis on emotional management.
