El Cabildo de La Palma refuerza su apoyo al sector primario
The Corporation approves the regulatory bases for grants aimed at professionals in this field, key to the social and economic development of the Island
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food Sovereignty, and Animal Welfare led by Alberto Paz, continues to support the primary sector of the Island through five lines of subsidies aimed at promoting generational change, professionalizing this field, as well as positioning it in events and alleviating costs derived from the activity.
Alberto Paz emphasizes the commitment of the insular Corporation to be a key support for this essential sector for the social and economic development of La Palma, «which is also part of our idiosyncrasy and requires firm support from the public administration.»
The Cabildo has recently approved the regulatory bases for various lines of grants that will be launched during the current year, such as promoting and consolidating the associative movement in the primary sector; participation in events related to this subject; promotion of studies related to the sector; enhancement of the conservation and development of agricultural varieties with tradition in La Palma, and boosting agriculture in mid-mountain areas, improvements in agricultural operations, and in the infrastructure of wineries, cheese factories, and maturation chambers covered by the Protected Designation of Origin.
Submission of applications, deadlines, and information
Once the corresponding call for each line of the bases is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province, interested parties wishing to apply for the grant must submit the signed and formalized application in the standardized model established in these bases.
This model will be available at the Citizen Service Office of the Insular Cabildo de La Palma, in its decentralized offices in Los Llanos de Aridane and San Andrés y Sauces, in the Agricultural Extension Agencies of Breña Alta, San Andrés y Sauces, Los Llanos de Aridane, Puntagorda, and Villa de Garafía, in the Central Office of the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Service, as well as in the Electronic Headquarters of the website of this Cabildo where you can obtain any information related to the call.
The application must be accompanied by the established documentation, generally required for all grants, as well as any specific documentation indicated, if applicable, for each one.
The deadline for submitting applications will be set in the call, not less than ten business days from the day following the publication of the call extract in the Official Bulletin of the Province.
The regulatory bases of the grants can be consulted through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo de La Palma.
