Two women and one man have been injured to varying degrees when three cars collided and one of them overturned in La Oliva, on the island of Fuerteventura, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The incident occurred at 12:51 on Monday in the stretch between FV-101 and FV-100, in the municipality of La Oliva, and emergency services from the La Oliva Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene. They extricated a woman who was in the overturned vehicle and secured it.
Subsequently, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) attended to a 52-year-old woman who initially presented a serious trauma and was transported by a medicalized ambulance to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura Virgen de la Peña.
They also treated a woman and a man, both with minor neck pain, who were transported by basic life support ambulances to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura Virgen de la Peña.
At the scene of the incident, officers from the Civil Guard also arrived to regulate traffic and carry out the necessary procedures.
