Muvisa Parking La Laguna ha gestionado 5,35 millones de vehículos desde 2018

Muvisa Parking La Laguna has conducted a review of the last 7 years in charge of the management and operation of the public parking lots in Las Quinteras, El Remojo, El Cristo, and Taco, a period in which these four facilities have received a total of 5,351,967 vehicles. With over 775 spaces currently available, services for users with reduced mobility, and charging stations for electric vehicles, the data shows a 5.5% increase in the number of vehicles in 2024 compared to 2018, the year in which this study begins.
«This analysis of results reveals that the municipal strategy of supporting vehicle rotation and tickets at very low prices, ranging from 0.60 to 0.75 euros per hour, has a significant impact on reducing internal traffic and supports local commerce and daily activities of the citizens, especially in a historically pedestrianized area,»
This is highlighted by the president of the Municipal Housing and Services Society (Muvisa), Adolfo Cordobés, who adds to this local impact the social values promoted by the entity in these four facilities, whose staff is entirely composed of people with disabilities. Cordobés emphasizes the effort and commitment of the entire Muvisa team to the socio-economic development of La Laguna.
«The experience and good results accredited over these years by the Special Employment Center (CEE) Muvisa Parking have led us to take a further step and expand the participation of people with disabilities in various services provided by the Municipal Society. Thus, this Center has grown to become the CEE Muvisa Services, a form of protected employment with which we aim to not only contribute to the socio-labor integration of people with disabilities but also to enhance their visibility and reinforce municipal policies in this area, which have earned La Laguna the first prize in the Access City Awards from the European Union,» Cordobés adds.
The coordinator of Muvisa’s Services Area, Jordi Bermejo, explains that in 2024 alone, the four parking lots managed by Muvisa recorded a total of 829,260 vehicles, both from rotating users and subscribers.
Leading the Way: Las Quinteras
«The surface parking lot of Las Quinteras, near the Plaza del Adelantado, is the facility with the most users, accounting for 43% of the total, a percentage that remains consistent throughout the study period. It is followed by the underground parking of El Cristo, with 216,382 vehicles last year, and El Remojo, on Rodríguez Moure street, with 112,870, all located in the surroundings of the Historic City declared a World Heritage Site,» highlights Bermejo.
«With these four public parking lots,» he points out, «Muvisa aims to contribute to the functioning of economic activity and facilitate parking for residents, workers, offering rental spaces that total over 300 subscriptions in the last year.»
