The Cabildo bets on a strategy to strengthen the industrial sector in Tenerife
The Cabildo of Tenerife bets on a strategy to strengthen the industrial sector in Tenerife, through the implementation of various initiatives, to enable the industrial sector to become a tool for promoting economic diversification.
This was stated by the Industry Councillor, Manuel Fernández, during a working meeting held this week with the entity ASINCA, where he outlined the details of the proposals of the island institution for this economic exercise in the industrial field, aligned with aspects such as innovation and digital transformation, training, sustainability, and the consolidation and growth of businesses, among others.
Fernández listed the different subsidy lines that the Industry area will promote, with the aim of strengthening the business sector of Tenerife, the renewal of the image of companies, or the creation of new industrial projects.
In addition, the councillor referred to the continuity of the Industrial Estates Program on the island, which aims to promote and improve industrial areas, «allowing us to attract new investors from the industrial sector.»
Manuel Fernández specifically mentioned the collaboration between the Cabildo and ASINCA to launch a project to restructure the human resources organization in industrial sector companies, which revolves around three axes: studying the internal organization of human resources in companies to achieve greater efficiency in production, determining the necessary profiles in the industry for job search and training for new employees in industrial companies.
The President of ASINCA Canarias, Jorge Escuder, stated, «For us, it is a milestone of great importance that the Cabildo has, for the first time in history, a specific Industry area, as we see it as a tool for the growth and development of the industrial sector in Tenerife.»
