Nubosidad en islas de mayor relieve con lluvias débiles ocasionales en Canarias para el viernes

Canarias will have cloudy intervals this Friday, which will increase to cloudy during the central hours, especially in interior areas, where occasional light rain is not ruled out. The skies will clear up in the afternoon and evening. In the easternmost islands, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the day will start with morning cloudy intervals, which will evolve into clearer skies after midday.

As for temperatures, there will be few changes. Thermometers will range from 25 degrees as the maximum in Fuerteventura to 12 degrees as the minimum in El Hierro. The wind will blow lightly to moderately from the northwest, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

IN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY

The passage of a front associated with an Atlantic storm over the Peninsula will cause widespread precipitation this Friday, spreading from south to north, and will put 13 autonomous communities on alert for rain and storms.

Thus, areas under rain alerts include Cádiz, Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga, and Sevilla (Andalusia); Teruel and Zaragoza (Aragon); western and eastern coastal areas of Asturias, southwestern Asturias, central and mining valleys, and the mountain ranges and peaks of Europe (Principality of Asturias); Ávila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Segovia, Soria, and Zamora (Castilla y León); Castilla-La Mancha; Extremadura; and Galicia.

These areas are joined by Sierra de Madrid, Metropolitan and Henares, South, Vegas, and West (Community of Madrid); Altiplano and Northwest of Murcia (Region of Murcia); Ebro River Valley in La Rioja and Riojan Ibérica (La Rioja); Valencia (Valencian Community); and Ceuta. All of them, except for the Community of Madrid, will also be on alert for storms, along with the Cantabrian coast (Cantabria).

AEMET has explained that precipitation will be more abundant on the Atlantic and Cantabrian slopes, as well as in the Iberian system area, where locally strong showers accompanied by storms and occasionally hail will occur. Meanwhile, rains may be locally persistent in the west of the Central system.

In the rest of the areas, precipitation will be weaker and more scattered, being less likely in the southeast and Balearic Islands, where there will be predominance of medium and high clouds, with a possibility of calima. By the end of the day, skies will tend to clear up, except in the western third and Mediterranean area.

As for temperatures, maximum temperatures will generally decrease, especially in the northeast and southwest interiors, although they will increase in Galicia, Cantabria, the southeast third, and the Balearic Islands. Additionally, minimum temperatures will experience a nearly widespread increase, more prominent in the western third. In this regard, the state agency has specified that frost is not expected for the day.

Furthermore, winds will blow between light and moderate, from the east, although the southern component is expected to prevail throughout the day, with very strong gusts on the northern Galician coast, southwestern Iberian Peninsula, Pyrenees, and other storm areas. In the Canary Islands, northwest winds will blow, tending to calm down and shift to the north.
