ARRECIFE (LANZAROTE), 5 (EUROPA PRESS)
La Guardia Civil investigated a driver on March 13 as the alleged perpetrator of two offenses against road safety in Lanzarote; one for reckless driving of a motor vehicle, which was involved in a road accident, and the other for not having a driving license that would allow him to drive, as he had never obtained one.
This was reported by the Civil Guard, adding that the investigation was carried out by agents of the Traffic Accident Investigation Team of the Traffic Group of the Arrecife Detachment.
The events took place in San Bartolomé when a call to 112 alerted that a driver was putting traffic at serious risk with zigzag driving and crossing the opposite direction several times for several kilometers, even suffering a road accident at km. 2,600 of the LZ-301 road.
The accident involved the vehicle leaving the road on the left side and falling into a field at a different level from the road, with the driver and sole occupant fleeing on foot.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Civil Guard officers found that the driver had left, so they conducted the corresponding investigations.
Shortly after, another call to 112 explained that an individual had arrived at his workplace, about 100 meters from the accident, with injuries and very nervous.
The driver was identified and informed that he would be investigated for two offenses against road safety, and the corresponding proceedings were initiated and submitted to the Arrecife Court of Instruction No. 3.
