Tito ‘El Bambino’ will perform after the celebration of the Grand Parade of the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with the Puerto Rican artist being the «surprise artist» whose name had not been revealed in the program.
Thus, on March 15, at 01:00 hours, the Plaza de Manuel Becerrera will come alive to the rhythm set by one of the «big names in reggaeton, a true veteran who has earned the respect of the new wave of urban artists,» as reported by the city council in a press release.
Since releasing his first album in the genre, Top of the Line (2006), his name has been associated with notable collaborations such as those with Don Omar or Daddy Yankee, although these were just the beginning, followed by collaborations with Yandel or Marc Anthony, among others.
In response to the admiration he has garnered among the younger generation, he has also participated in projects with Myke Towers, Rauw Alejandro, and many other young artists.
The sale of his albums is in the millions, and he has received 16 Billboard awards, several ‘Lo Nuestro’ awards that recognize excellence in Latin music according to the audience of Univisión, as well as distinctions at the Viña del Mar Festival, among many others.
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will thus surrender to hits like ‘Siente el boom’, ‘Mi cama huele a ti’, or ‘El amor’.
