El Cabildo convoca la primera Mesa Técnica en materia de Infancia y Adolescencia de 2025

The Insular Volunteer Center hosted the celebration of the first Technical Table on Childhood and Adolescence of this year, 2025, on February 13.

The event was chaired by the Councilor for Social Action, Águeda Fumero, who was accompanied by the Insular Director of Social Action, Yolanda Baumgartner, the IASS manager, and staff from the Childhood Unit, as well as technical staff from all areas of the Cabildo de Tenerife aligned with the objectives of the II Insular Plan for Childhood and Adolescence.

The Councilor for Social Action valued «the role that the Cabildo de Tenerife has as a public administration, in everything related to guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents,» and she assured that «the will of the Social Action team is to contribute to governance based on network work, collaborative work, also coordinated with other administrations and with third sector entities, with the aim of multiplying the positive impact on the child and youth population of Tenerife.»

Fumero recalled that «the Cabildo de Tenerife has been recognized by UNICEF as a Child Friendly City. This seal is difficult to achieve, and it would not have been possible without the work of all of you.»

During the celebration of the Technical Table, a follow-up was carried out on the II Insular Plan for Childhood and Adolescence, the work being carried out was evaluated, and proposals were made to advance in guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents.
