Proceso selectivo para nuevas plazas en Muvisa Servicios

The Special Employment Center (CEE) Muvisa Servicios de La Laguna opens two selection processes for the categories of administrative and parking attendant, positions managed by the entity through the CEE and intended for people with disabilities or permanent incapacity to perform their usual profession. Interested individuals can request all the information and requirements for registration in this call by sending an email to the address parkingsmuvisa@muvisa.com.

The CEE of the Municipal Housing and Services Society (Muvisa) of La Laguna was created to promote the socio-labor integration of people with disabilities in the municipality and in the management of the four public parking lots in La Laguna. With an experience that has made it a reference in the Canary Islands in this area, it has recently decided to expand its scope by incorporating several of the services provided by the entity and contributing to equal opportunities in the municipality.

The model combines employment, training, and an extensive social program, providing «all the resources that allow people with disabilities to expand their professional field, gain work experience, and have a support network that enables them to acquire all the tools and skills necessary to regain their personal independence and improve their employability,» explains Jordi Bermejo, Services Coordinator at Muvisa.

This CEE already has a staff of more than 30 people with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities in various degrees, as well as situations in which the disability has been declared in adulthood and the incapacity to perform their previous profession. It is based on a model whose objective is to be the first step in the professional and social development of its members and, through rotation, reach as many people as possible.

Currently, this Special Employment Center in La Laguna includes the management of public parking lots and all the occupations necessary for their development, as well as the citizen service, the latter being of recent creation. However, the entity is already working on an upcoming expansion of the activities managed by the CEE.

Up to 3 years

For one year, renewable up to 3, the staff participates in an extensive training program adapted to their professional profile and other areas in which they would like to develop professionally, including individual skills and aptitudes, from first aid to software use, and everything necessary to navigate job search and administrative procedures.

Thus, the Special Employment Center Muvisa Servicios has various activities aimed at reducing the digital divide, promoting continuous training, and fostering the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits, improving social relationships, and access to culture. These actions, which fulfill the personal and social adjustment service of the entity, have demonstrated their importance as stimuli for psychosocial development and against unwanted loneliness in people with disabilities.

The Support Unit of the CEE Muvisa Servicios, which has high recognition in the sector, evaluates the skills and needs of each person, works with families and communities, provides continuous training, and offers personalized assistance, promoting independence and confidence.

In addition, its team assists workers in the transition to regular employment, sharing their achievements and challenges with the competent authorities, all in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 2273/1985, of December 4, and Royal Decree 469/2006, of April 21.

The CEE Muvisa Servicios is governed by constant monitoring of the quality of its activities and annually presents an extensive justification report to the Canarian Employment Service, which includes the personal and social adjustment service provided, individually, to each worker.

These objectives of the Municipal Society are aligned with the inclusion program launched by La Laguna, which has been recognized with the Access City Award 2024, the most important distinction from the European Union in terms of universal accessibility and disability; the Solidarios award from the ONCE Canarias Social Group 2024, in the category of Public Administration, as well as the cermi.es 2022 award from the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI).
