
The project has a budget of 636,341.88 euros
The Cabildo of La Palma approves the modification and update to improve the layout between La Marañuela and El Llanito of the LP-202, in the municipality of Breña Alta. This is an action aimed at improving the safety and functionality of this important road section in the municipality. Several modifications have had to be made to this project due to deficiencies in the initial proposals.
The project, which includes the correction of the current layout and the extension of the pedestrian walkway from the San Pedro nucleus to the vicinity of Barranquito de El Tejar, will have a budget of 636,341.88 euros.
The President of the Cabildo of La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, highlights the technical and administrative work carried out to push forward this modification. He also explains that «the update of this project was indispensable. Not only does it adjust to current prices, but it also includes the specific relationship of assets and rights affected by the necessary expropriation, something essential to guarantee the legal and material viability of the project. We are taking firm steps towards a more modern, safe, and adapted infrastructure to the real needs of the territory.»
For his part, the Minister of Public Works, Darwin Rodríguez, points out that the project was initially approved in December 2020 with a budget of 433,701.84 euros. The new version incorporates technical improvements and updates in accordance with the favorable reports issued by the public works and legal services of the Cabildo.
The complete documentation will be subject to a public information process for a period of 20 business days, once it is published in the Official Gazette of the Province. During this time, any interested party may consult the project and submit allegations through the electronic headquarters of the Cabildo ( or, in person, at the Technical Assistance Service to Municipalities.
This action is part of the FDCAN program and reflects the Cabildo’s commitment to continue investing in strategic projects that promote the sustainable and safe development of the island’s road network.
