The exhibition, organized by the Culture Department of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, will open this afternoon at 7:00 p.m. and will be available for viewing until Saturday, April 5th.
This Friday morning, the CUBO room at El Almacén witnessed the presentation of the exhibition Polinos. Malvasía Espacial, by the artist and architect from Madrid, now based in Tenerife, Fernando Miñarro Mena. The exhibition, organized by the Culture Department of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, will be open for viewing until Saturday, April 5th, 2025, with the official opening to the general public this afternoon at 7:00 p.m.
The exhibition includes around thirty pictorial and sculptural pieces that move within the abstract spectrum. Through a geometric language and organic forms, Miñarro creates a system of representation in subtle compositions that seem to float in space. His work radiates dynamism through the overlapping of lines, planes, volumes, colors, reflections, and transparencies, reflecting the transformation of matter over time.
The Culture Councillor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jesús Machín Tavío, highlighted «the unique visual discourse of this new proposal, where the power of color and abstraction combine to offer a unique experience, allowing each visitor to project their own story from the works, finding new readings and meanings in them.»
For his part, Fernando Miñarro expressed his gratitude to the Culture Department of the Cabildo de Lanzarote for making this exhibition possible in such an emblematic space as El Almacén. «It is a pleasure to share this work with the people of Lanzarote and for them to experience firsthand the atmosphere generated through these pieces.»
The author
Graduated in Architecture from the San Pablo CEU University of Madrid and with a Master’s Degree in Digital Fabrication, Miñarro has developed an intense artistic career with exhibitions in cultural centers such as the El Tanque Cultural Space (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and the Casa de los Coroneles (Fuerteventura), as well as participating in events such as the PHE Festival, Arte Express (Puerto de la Cruz), and Arte Lateral (Madrid). His work has also been exhibited in venues of the Cabildo de La Gomera and El Hierro, the Sabor de Gáldar Room, the Casino de Tenerife, the Salazar House in La Palma, and the San Felipe Castle in Puerto de la Cruz, among other spaces.
About the exhibition, the artist points out that «this exhibition is part of a creative and research process called Polinos. Through organic modulations, abstract forms, and geometric representations, I seek to project a metamorphosis of matter and energy in a metaphysical space, between reality and imagination.»
