Evento de orientación profesional «YouLead» en las Islas Canarias

Transmitted to an event that brought together more than 25,000 pre-university students from all over Spain to guide them in their academic future.
The program included presentations and workshops led by active professionals from different productive sectors, as well as speakers from universities and training centers.
The «Yulead» professional orientation days, which had the institutional support of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity, and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, celebrated the Fifth Edition in Madrid with the participation of more than 160 educational centers in the Canary Islands, which followed the sessions by broadcasting them.
This event, aimed at compulsory secondary education and baccalaureate students, allows young people to choose their academic and professional future, offering tools and expert testimonies from different productive sectors. Through conferences and workshops, more than 25,000 students could learn first-hand about academic and professional opportunities that best suit their skills and interests.
«Youulead» had the participation of professionals from different fields who shared experiences and career paths from over thirty years. This initiative is an opportunity to reduce students’ uncertainty when making decisions about their future and provide them with relevant information on possible job opportunities.
The importance of events like «Yulead» lies in their contribution to improving the professional orientation of the pre-university stages because many say they still do not have enough information to make decisions about their future.
To address this issue, «Youulead» offers a practical approach in these five editions with workshops and conferences covering topics from technology to humanities, dividing the sessions according to the main branches of knowledge. In this case, the first of the two days was dedicated to social sciences and humanities, while the second focused on engineering and bioscience.
