El Servicio Canario de la Salud promueve la donación de sangre antes del puente por el Día de Canarias.

The General Directorate of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy of the Canarian Health Service (SCS) is carrying out campaigns this weekend in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife to promote blood donation before the Day of the Canary Islands holiday.

The SCS has reminded citizens that they can also contribute at the fixed points established by the Canarian Transfusion Network on all the islands.

This Saturday, a blood collection unit will be located in the urban area of La Laguna, at La Catedral square, on Obispo Rey Redondo street, from 10:00 to 14:15 hours.

Additionally, during this weekend, blood donation can also be done at the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (HUC) service, which will be available without an appointment this Saturday from 8:30 to 14:30 and from 15:30 to 20:00. On Sunday, Thursday the 29th, and Friday the 30th of May, healthcare professionals will be available from 8:30 to 21:30.

At the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, citizens can donate without an appointment on Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00.

On the 26th and 27th of May, a mobile unit will visit the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, located on Avenida El Paso (in front of Cafetería Guarapo, 24), from 9:30 to 13:45 and 16:00 to 20:30 on both days. In the same municipality, on the 26th, an extraction team will attend the staff of the Grupo nº1 building on Avenida de El Paso, s/n, multi-purpose building, floor 17, during the same hours.

Furthermore, on the 29th and 31st of May, another mobile unit will move to the urban area of La Laguna, at La Catedral square, on Obispo Rey Redondo street, with hours on Thursday the 29th from 9:00 to 13:45 and 16:00 to 20:45, and on Saturday the 31st from 10:00 to 14:15.

Similarly, on the 27th and 28th of May, a mobile unit will go to the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, in the urban area at Plaza del Charco, s/n, from 9:15 to 13:30 and 16:15 to 20:00. On the 28th of May, another mobile unit will be at Hotel Landmar, on the coast of Los Gigantes, on Calle Juan Manuel Capdevielle, 8, Santiago del Teide, where internal staff can donate blood from 10:00 to 17:10.

Throughout the week, the XVII Health Fair «Let’s make a family» will take place at Calle La Corujera, 27, at the football field in Fasnia, from 9:00 to 13:30.

Additionally, blood donation can be made at the fixed point in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located at Méndez Núñez 14, from Monday to Friday, from 8:15 to 20:30. The fixed point at the San Isidro Health Center in Granadilla de Abona is also active, where donations can be made from Monday to Friday from 13:45 to 19:30.

Regarding the points of the Canarian Transfusion Network, at the Hospital Universitario de Canarias, blood donation without an appointment is possible on floor 0, next to the elevators, with healthcare professionals available from Sunday to Friday and on holidays from 8:30 to 21:30, and on Saturday from 8:30 to 14:30 and from 15:30 to 20:00.

At the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, donations are accepted from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00, excluding holidays.

Furthermore, blood donation is also available at Hospiten Bellevue, on Calle Alemania, 6, in Puerto de la Cruz, with appointments at 922 385 235 (option 1), from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:30 and from 15:00 to 17:30, excluding holidays.

### WHERE TO DONATE IN GRAN CANARIA

Next week, a campaign will be activated in the Municipality of Mogán. A mobile unit will be set up from Monday to Thursday at Pérez Galdós square, on GC-500. On Monday, from 16:30 to 20:15, and on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 to 3:15 and from 16:30 to 20:15.

During the same days, a donation point will be set up inside the El Mirador Shopping Center, at local B31 – in front of the Lefties store – located at Avenida de Santa Rita de Casia, 5, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The hours for donor population will be on Monday and Wednesday from 9:15 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00, and on Tuesday and Thursday from 16:00 to 21:00.

On May 26th, an extraction team will conduct a campaign at the Ministry of Education, located in the old courthouse building on Granadera Canaria street, s/n in the capital of Gran Canaria, from 9:00 to 14:00.

On the same day, another extraction point will visit the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, where they will go to CEO Pancho Guerra on Vertegul street, 1, from 9:30 to 13:30 to collaborate with the educational community.

Additionally, on May 27th, another extraction team will go to IES Tamogante in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, on Tamogante street, 13, from 9:15 to 13:30.

On the 29th, a donation campaign will take place at CEIP Eduardo Rivero Ramos in Arucas, in Cardones, located on Hermanas Manrique street, 26, from 9:15 to 13:30.

Regarding the fixed donation points, donors can go to the provincial headquarters located at Alfonso XIII street, number 4, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The hours are from 8:15 to 21:00. In Santa Lucía de Tirajana, the fixed point is in the annex to the Vecindario Health Center, with hours from Monday to Wednesday from 16:15 to 20:15, and on Thursday and Friday from 9:15 to 13:15, excluding holidays.

Population can also go to the Hospital Universitario Materno-Infantil de Canarias from Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 13:30; the Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Dr. Negrín from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 19:30; and the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:30, excluding holidays.

At Hospiten Roca San Agustín, donation can be made by appointment by calling 928 730 362 (option 3), from Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 to 14:00, excluding holidays.

### FUERTEVENTURA

During the next week, donation can be made at CIFP Majada Marcial, located on Los Camelleros street, 162, in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario, with hours from Monday to Thursday from 16:00 to 21:00, and on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:45 to 14:00.

Additionally, donation is possible at the Hospital General de Fuerteventura in the same municipality. This point will be operational from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:30.

### LANZAROTE

In Lanzarote, a mobile unit will travel to the Ciudad Deportiva de Lanzarote, located on Avenida Alcalde Ginés de la Hoz s/n. The hours of operation will be on Monday, May 26th from 18:15 to 21:00, on Tuesday the 27th and Wednesday the 28th from 15:45 to 21:00, and on Thursday the 29th from 8:45 to 14:00.

Furthermore, a donation campaign will be held at IES San Bartolomé, located on the road from Arrecife to Tinajo, with hours on both days from 8:45 to 14:00.

The fixed blood donation point of the Canarian Transfusion Network at the Hospital Universitario Doctor José Molina Orosa is also operational, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00, excluding holidays.

### LA GOMERA, EL HIERRO, AND LA PALMA

The Hospital Insular Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe has an extraction point where blood donation is possible from Monday to Wednesday from 11:00 to 13:00, and on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 to 13:00, excluding holidays.

At the Hospital Insular Nuestra Señora de los Reyes, collaboration can be done without an appointment or by scheduling one at 690 886 059 (from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 14:00).

The Hospital Universitario General de La Palma has a fixed extraction point, from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 20:00, and on Fridays from 10:00 to 15:30. It remains closed on Saturdays, and on Sundays, the hours of operation are from 13:00 to 20:00.
