No se descartan rachas de viento localmente muy fuertes en los extremos oeste y vertientes sureste de las islas de mayor relieve durante la segunda mitad del día
Canarias will start the week with cloudy skies in the north of the mountainous islands in the early and late hours of this Monday, where occasional light rain is not ruled out in the early hours. The clouds will tend to clear up throughout the day, as reported by the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
In the rest of the region, the day will be characterized by mostly clear skies, although in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, cloudy intervals are expected in the early morning, with a low probability of some weak and scattered precipitation.
Temperatures will remain stable, with few changes, except for a rise in the maximum temperatures in the high areas of Tenerife.
The wind, on the other hand, will blow moderately from the northeast, with strong intervals during the second half of the day in the interior areas of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, as well as in the western ends and southeast slopes of the major relief islands, where locally very strong gusts are not ruled out.
WEATHER IN THE REST OF SPAIN
The passage of a low-pressure system moving from west to east in the peninsula will cause instability in the northern half this Monday, a day where seven autonomous communities are under yellow alerts for rain and storms.
Showers and storms are expected, with a probability of being strong, accompanied by hail and very strong gusts in wide areas of the northern extremity of the peninsula, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Aragon, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Navarre, Basque Country, and La Rioja have yellow alerts for both storms and rain, and Cantabria has a yellow alert for storms.
Cloudy skies will prevail, and showers and storms will occur from the early hours, affecting most of the mentioned northern half by the end of the day. They are expected to be more intense during the early hours in the north center and especially in the afternoon in the eastern Cantabrian region, middle-upper Ebro, and Pyrenees, with a chance of being strong and accompanied by hail.
Strong storms are also expected in other northeastern regions in the afternoon, with very strong gusts being more likely in these areas. There is also a possibility of some locally strong showers throughout the day in other points along the Cantabrian coast.
On the contrary, stable weather is expected in the southern half of the peninsula, with generally clear skies and evolving cloudiness. There will be abundant medium and high-level cloudiness in the Balearic Islands.
Regarding temperatures, there will be a notable decrease in maximum temperatures in the Cantabrian area, both mesetas, upper Ebro, Iberian System, and southeastern mountain ranges. Meanwhile, there will be increases in the Mediterranean area of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
Temperatures could reach 30 degrees in areas of the lower Ebro and the southern half of the Mediterranean arc. Minimum temperatures will generally decrease on the Atlantic coast, increase in the rest of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
