El Cabildo de Lanzarote celebra el éxito del Honor Canario Urban Fest 2025.

The capital of Lanzarote experienced an authentic explosion of urban culture this past weekend with the celebration of the Honor Canario Urban Fest 2025, a massive event that brought together more than 3,500 people at the Agramar de Arrecife venue for two unforgettable days.

Organized with the main sponsorship of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through its Youth and Culture departments, together with the Arrecife City Council, the festival served as the stage for the highly anticipated finals of the LZ Urban Dance 2025 and LZ Urban Contest competitions, key initiatives to showcase and promote the young talent of the island.

The Saturday, June 21st, crowned the winners of both competitions. In the LZ Urban Dance 2025, the duo Ángela and Pablo took the first place in the doubles category, awarded with 350€; followed by Aisha and Laura (second prize-200€) and Danarix (third-100€). In the crew category, the group Dark Bunnies received the top recognition (700€), with Hemisferio (300€) and Advanced (150€) taking second and third place, respectively.

Regarding the LZ Urban Contest, the urban music competition, the artist Toti Sanz was declared the winner, receiving a prize of 1,000 euros, the recording of a professional music video, and the opportunity to perform as an opening act in future editions of the festival. The second prize went to Nase (500€), whose performance was also highly praised by the jury composed of Chuty, Bejo, and Sara Socas.

The Youth Councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Aroa Revelo, highlighted that the contests promoted by the Institution "have shown that in Lanzarote there is talent, creativity, and a great desire to create spaces for expression from urban and contemporary perspectives. This festival is already an essential event for our youth."

On the other hand, the Minister of Culture, Jesús Machín, stated that "urban culture is a powerful tool to connect with society, and in Lanzarote, we have artists with extraordinary potential. The Cabildo will continue to support these initiatives that enrich our cultural identity."

Show with international figures

The Honor Canario Urban Fest was not only a platform for local talents but also a great showcase with nationally and internationally renowned artists. On Friday night, the audience enjoyed performances by Sara Socas, Daniela Blasco, and a freestyle battle led by Chuty, alongside young freestylers from Lanzarote. The highlight of the evening was the spectacular final duel between Chuty and Sara Socas, which left the audience on their feet.

On Saturday, more than 2,500 attendees enjoyed concerts by Bejo, Cali y El Dandee, and JC Reyes, closing the festival with a large collective celebration of urban culture.

The President of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, positively assessed the impact of the event, "a reflection of a young, dynamic, and talented island. We are proud to continue promoting initiatives that position Lanzarote as a reference in the cultural landscape of the Canary Islands and the national scene."
