El Cabildo de La Palma destina 60.000 euros a subvenciones para artesanía insular

The aids will help cover current expenses generated from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2025

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Craft Area led by councilor Pablo Díaz Cobiella, publishes the bases for subsidies for island crafts to cover current expenses, amounting to 60,000 euros.

Pablo Díaz Cobiella emphasizes that these aids are a «vital element for the island’s craft sector, which plays a fundamental role in the preservation and dissemination of our culture and identity. The goal is for them to cover expenses from previous exercises and thus create new artisan products more easily.»

The subsidy is divided into two sections, line one, corresponding to the period between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, with an amount of 7,800 euros. And line two, covering the period between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, with a budget of 52,200 euros.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 natural days after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province. All artisans and craft companies on the island interested in these aids may submit their application within this period.
