The island Corporation has also released the final resolution of the mobility scholarships, granting these aids, for the first time, to students of FP

The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Ministry of Education, has published the provisional resolution of its practical training scholarships, aimed at students of vocational training and university degrees who are finishing their studies this year. In total, 110 practical training scholarships are awarded: 55 for university students and 55 for vocational training students.

The deadline for submitting allegations will be open from May 23 to June 6, and the resolution has been published on the Cabildo de Fuerteventura website:

Education councilor, Adargoma Hernández, values a pioneering program, with Fuerteventura being the only Cabildo with a program of this nature, which has been in operation for over twenty years, having already provided job opportunities to more than 3,000 students in this trajectory.

This program allows students to have a first approach to the job market, carrying out their internships not only at the Cabildo, but also in municipalities and other collaborating entities.

Hernández reports that the 2025 call for practical training scholarships was opened last April, earlier than in previous years, which will allow for better adaptation of the scholarships to the training that applicants have, better aligning them with their future careers.

Mobility scholarships

Likewise, the Cabildo de Fuerteventura has published the final resolution of the mobility scholarships for students participating in exchange programs such as Socrates-Erasmus, Sicue-Séneca, and similar programs.

Almost thirty grants have been awarded in total, and the resolution can be consulted at the following link:

For the first time, these scholarships have been extended to FP students, in addition to those pursuing university studies, «in response to a request made by the vocational training centers,» explains councilor Adargoma Hernández.

The Education councilor also recalls that «Fuerteventura is the Cabildo that invests the most in scholarships and the island institution that grants the most lines of aid to education.» In the 2023/2024 academic year, the island Corporation invested 4.3 million euros in scholarship programs for study both on and off the island, practical training scholarships, mobility and language immersion programs, and the new line of aid for students with special educational needs.
