The City Council of La Laguna, through the area of Citizen Participation, reminds that the civic centers of the municipality will continue to operate during the month of July, with a diverse program adapted to all ages. Summer workshops, sports activities, training sessions, psychological support services, culture, and leisure activities turn these spaces into true centers of community gathering and support.
The Councilor of Citizen Participation, Fran Hernández, has highlighted the role of civic centers as spaces of proximity, «during the summer we continue to offer useful, accessible, and participatory proposals for everyone. I encourage neighbors to approach, join activities, enjoy, and actively participate in their civic center.»
The program for the month of July includes children’s camps, such as those held at the San Jerónimo, San Matías II, or Pérez Soto centers; sports activities like pilates, functional training, tai chi, or zumba; craft workshops, theater, painting, or singing; and proposals for personal and social development such as the ‘From A to Z’ project for support in procedures or free psychological support services like ‘Health for All’.
Furthermore, the opening hours in most centers are maintained, adapted to the summer season, as can be consulted on the municipal website www.aytolalaguna.es.
For Fran Hernández, «civic centers are places where bonds are formed, knowledge is shared, and the social fabric is strengthened. They help build community, take care of each other, and coexist better.» In this sense, the councilor has highlighted the commitment of the center councils, collaborating associations, and technical staff who make it possible to maintain activities even in the summer months.
Interested citizens can visit their nearest center, check the program displayed on the notice boards, or access complete information through the municipal website. Many activities are free and only require prior registration.
