A man was seriously injured on Friday night after his vehicle veered off the road he was driving on, in Playa Blanca, in the municipality of Yaiza on the island of Lanzarote, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred around 23:23 hours, when the 1-1-2 operational center received an alert reporting that a vehicle was on fire after veering off the road, prompting Cecoes to immediately activate the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area.
Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the flames and SUC personnel provided initial assistance to the injured man, who suffered a serious fracture and required transportation to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Civil Protection personnel collaborated with the health services. Meanwhile, the Local Police regulated traffic and conducted the corresponding report.
