«The Canarian cinema offers us many joys,» he said, because «it grows, it is not strange to see them in theaters in the archipelago and the rest of Spain.»
Clavijo added that in the Canary Islands «there is a lot of talent,» but «now, there are conditions for this talent to remain on the islands, because there is also an industry and firm and continuous institutional support.» The president transferred congratulations to the Goya candidates and thanked them for representing «motivation and incentive» for the entire audiovisual sector of the Canary Islands.
