ARRECIFE (LANZAROTE), 4 (EUROPA PRESS)
Maritime Rescue intercepted a rubber boat carrying three Maghrebi immigrants early on Sunday when they were sailing about two miles off the coast of Arrecife (Lanzarote).
This was reported by the state agency, adding that it was around 9:00 a.m. when the Coordination Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 112 alerted the Salvage Center in Las Palmas of the sighting of an irregular boat near the coast.
In this way, the Salvamar Acrux was activated, which half an hour later rescued three Maghrebi men who were taken to the Arrecife Pier.
This is the second rubber boat to arrive in the Canary Islands this weekend after a boat with 50 immigrants, both Maghrebis and sub-Saharan, was located 60 miles off Cape Bojador, in Western Sahara, and arrived in Arguineguín (Gran Canaria) in the early hours of Sunday.
